New and improved Tasks now live!

Huddle has always been a great way for people to connect, share information and files and work better together – both inside and outside of their enterprise.

Today, we’ve released an all new, powerful but simple task management tool to help you work even better together!

What we did

As the foundation for a new Tasks section, we focused on the team – the people actually doing the work. Not solely project managers and project reporting, like most other project management software.

By flipping it all on its head and focusing on the individual team members, we enable you to work together better. The key is opening up the project management process and empowering everyone in your team to update statuses, interact with each other, and generally get stuff done. Less management, more results. This helps project managers too – less chasing of updates and more managing risks and issues.

Filters

To help you focus on what you need to do we’ve introduced default settings for the simple filtering and grouping on the tasks page. This means as a workspace member your default is to see tasks assigned to yourself – if there are no tasks in the view it simply means you’re not assigned to any! You can easily change the filter in the controls above – to see an individual’s, team’s or everyone’s tasks!

What’s next?

There’s still some work left to do on tasks – and we want your feedback on what we’ve built so we can make it even better! We will be iterating quickly over the coming months to add even more features and improve what’s there;

• Uploading attachments when creating a task
• Visualizing task progress for a quick and easy overview
• Adding an (optional) start date so that you can track duration and progress
