Controls
Permissions
Permissions determine what a user, workspace manager, or account administrator is able to do within Huddle, a particular workspace, or a particular folder. Teams are essentially permission groups within a Huddle workspace. Teams allow you to group your users according to what permissions they should have in the workspace i.e. which files they are allowed to view and edit.
You can set granular permissions against each workspace or folder, controlling who can view specific items. Permissions can be amended and users can be removed from workspaces should they leave the organization or be removed from a project.
If you have an important file that you only want to share with specific people, you can set permissions to ensure that sensitive documents are only seen by those who you want to see it.
Single sign on/LDAP
Huddle’s Active Directory support offers automated provisioning and deprovisioning, based on your existing organizational schema, and maps identities seamlessly to provide granular access control. It simplifies user management by leveraging your existing authorization infrastructure and enables single sign-on scenarios. Huddle’s LDAP integrator runs inside your firewall and no access is required to account-stores from outside your perimeter.
Huddle periodically polls your local LDAP directory for changes, and propagates those changes to Huddle via our synchronisation APIs. Custom queries allow you to map attributes and groups to access controls in the Huddle application.
Using SAML, Huddle can provide secure, industry-standard single sign-on from your local domain to the Huddle platform. This can reduce support costs by eliminating password issues and allowing you to maintain your own policies for password complexity and expiry.
Feature control
You can switch Huddle features on and off within your workspace for more focused use, turning it into a sharing portal or a discussion forum. By customizing Huddle and switching off access to areas that will not be used by team members, you can ensure that users don’t get distracted.
Control invitations
You can change permissions to control which Huddle users can and can’t send invitations to people, providing them with access to Huddle workspaces.
Uptime
Huddle’s Service Level Agreement (SLA) guarantees uptime of 99.9% over any three month period. Our records show that we are always performing well above this SLA and you can monitor Huddle’s live uptime here.
