East of England IDB

East of England IDB connects its community of partners and suppliers with Huddle.

East of England IDB (EEIDB) is a private company that delivers a number of public sector contracts in the East of England. Its repertoire includes: Business Link, a free business advice and support service, and International Trade services, on behalf of UK Trade & Investment, to help businesses expand into overseas markets. The organisation is also responsible for Inward Investment and Investor Development services, which provide a single convenient point of contact for companies looking to grow their operations in the East of England.

To provide business support, attract investment and continue to create jobs in the region, EEIDB works with an extensive network of partners and suppliers. These include local authorities, business membership organisations and marcomm agencies. Within these organisations, there are numerous subgroups, departments and teams and a wealth of information has to be disseminated to many different parties. Faced with the challenge of sharing documents, circulating information, collating feedback and creating a record of interactions, EEIDB needed to find a more efficient way of working with its partner and supplier community.

Emma Knight, Head of Communications and Marketing at EEIDB Ltd, explains: "Prior to using Huddle, communicating with our partners and suppliers involved a range of channels including email, direct mail pieces and, on occasion, newsletters. At times it could be tricky to keep track of what had shared, with whom and who had, or hadn't, provided feedback.

Due to its ease of use, it wasn't long before Huddle was widely adopted across the business and it is now the natural choice for internal and external collaboration at EEIDB. Teams are using their time more efficiently and working more effectively.
