Open API & integration
Huddle can be easily integrated into your existing enterprise stack, including desktop applications, SharePoint and more. The Huddle API is a simple HTTP service secured via SSL. Build applications and mash-ups using the powerful Huddle developer API.
Huddle also integrates with office applications via the Huddle for Office plugins. There is an add-in for Excel, Word and PowerPoint. This means you can save files directly into Huddle. The plugin will just add extra ‘Save to Huddle’ options and an ‘Open from Huddle’ button. You can even sign in straight from Word, Excel or PowerPoint without having to open the browser.
Huddle has also intergrated with Xobni, an email management and search tool that creates profiles for the people you have contacted. The Huddle plugin lets you share files, tasks, and ideas with your contacts.
These multiple integrations allow you stay connected with Huddle whatever you’re doing.
Huddle is also available for the Chrome Web Store, allowing you to manage projects, files and people directly from your chrome web browser.
Office integration
Access documents stored online in Huddle, directly from your Office desktop applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Save and upload your Office desktop documents directly into any of your online workspaces. View and edit files, add new versions, request approvals and send notifications without opening a browser window.
If you are working on files in Word, Excel or PowerPoint, you can save content directly into Huddle using our Microsoft Office Plugins. Minimizing complexity and improving efficiencies, Huddle’s Office integration enables you to link MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint directly into your Huddle workspaces.
You can open a new Office document and begin work from your desktop, then later save it in Huddle. Alternatively, you can open Word, Excel or PowerPoint and access an existing file from one of your Huddle workspaces without opening Huddle in a browser. You also have the option to download a file from Huddle, but continue to edit and save it using the add‐in, without having to return to the browser. You can select both the folder and the workspace that you wish to save your file in and notify other team members.
When using the Office add‐in, you will be prompted to sign in to Huddle for security reasons. You will not need to do this every time if you check the ‘remember me’.
With the Huddle Office integration, you instantly move from local file issues to easy document sharing and editing across your team and workspace.
