London is bracing itself for a 48 hour tube strike, but we don’t think it’s all bad. There are at least 10 good things about the tube being down…

  1. You don’t need to spend an hour inside an ancient, rattly, smelly, hot, noisy tube. And thats before you even get on the trains.
  2. A nice healthy walk… in trademark London drizzle.
  3. You can sample London’s iconic double deckers, along with 10 million others, and realise that the two tube stations you travel between are right next to each other.
  4. You can be 2 hours late to work and no one will bat an eyelid. Unless you live right next to the office. Like Andy.
  5. Discover the overland. Its just like the tube, except it has sunlight and oxygen!
  6. If you stay at home you can spend all day in your pyjamas and listen to your own music. Oh yeah, Andy does that in the office anyway…
  7. The normally smug saps that don’t need the tube to get to work have to go to the office while you stay at home
  8. You don’t have to eat a dry crusty triangle sandwich for lunch, while still sitting at your desk
  9. Two words. Neighbours and Countdown. In fact, are they still on?
  10. The strike is a great excuse to leave the office promptly at 6 and spend a sunny evening in the nearest beer garden. Oh wait…
  11. Bonus! When you give up on trying to get to work, you can start using Huddle.net and realise that you don’t need to be in the office to work well with your team… Sign up now!

What will you be doing during the strike?
