Data protection laws are changing – is your organization GDPR ready? | Huddle

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into effect this year and, like many organizations, you’re probably conducting an internal GDPR audit to assess both your internal processes and the compliance of your key suppliers.

GDPR will undoubtedly impact any organization that processes, stores or works with Personal Data relating to an EU citizen, whether that organisation is based in the EU or not. As such, GDPR is the first data protection law that is truly global in its impact.

Huddle has a long history in security, and we work hard to build trusted relationships with our clients. Not only were we one of the first cloud collaboration providers to achieve government accreditation in both the UK and the U.S., but we continue to invest in meeting the requirements of many of the industry’s most widely recognized security standards including ISO 27001:2013, CyberEssentials Plus and FedRAMP.

Huddle will be compliant with the GDPR by 25th May 2018, and we encourage our clients to begin their own GDPR readiness assessments.

Whether you’ve got questions about the transition to GDPR, or are looking for a GDPR compliant system to store and work with sensitive data, you can learn more about Huddle’s GDPR commitments here.
