Last year was a big year for the Huddle team. During 2014, we saw the content collaboration market really come of age as enterprises and governments started to readily replace legacy software at scale and embrace this new way of working. As we secured seven of our ten biggest contracts to date and brought on four US federal agencies as customers, it became clear that organizations are no longer afraid to try new, innovative cloud technologies. A real shift in enterprise technology is now underway. Huddle is now leading the enterprise collaboration space, enabling enterprise and government organizations worldwide to share and work on files with everyone they need to – regardless of whether they are inside or outside of an organization’s firewall.

I’m proud to call great organizations such as Williams Lea, Baker Tilly International, Grant Thornton, WSP, Driscoll’s and Beats by Dre customers, as well as 80 per cent of central UK government departments, NASA and the Office of the Secretary of Defense.

To round off a phenomenal year, we also announced Huddle’s $51 million Series D round. The company has certainly come a long way from the bedroom-based start-up I set up with Andy in 2007 and it’s been an incredible journey so far!

As the company starts on the next phase of its journey, it gives me great pleasure to welcome Morten Brøgger to the Huddle team as the company’s new CEO and announce my decision to take on new roles as President and CMO.

With 20 years of experience in the technology industry and a decade bringing cloud-based services to market, Morten is the ideal person for me to pass the CEO torch to. In his role as CEO at MACH, Morten led the company’s growth, and then sale to Syniverse in 2013 for $715 million, and subsequently served as Chief Sales Officer for the combined business globally. Morten has the ability and experience to accelerate Huddle’s growth, drive expansion into new territories and continue the company on its path to becoming a $1 billion business.

In my new roles, I’ll be focusing on scaling our global brand and market impact. This is particularly exciting for me as I’ll get to work closely with the teams across Huddle and our amazing customers so that we can prove how cloud collaboration can transform the way people work. This is something I’m passionate about and exactly why I founded Huddle.

I’m excited about Morten joining me on Huddle’s mission to provide a single platform on which everyone – internally and externally – can work together on the same information to achieve a common goal. Working together, we have the experience, vision, customers and fantastic product needed to ramp up Huddle’s growth and, as the cloud collaboration market gains momentum, the sky is really the limit!
